Access to Many Resources at Üsküdar University

The event titled 'Library Resource Usage, Literature Review Techniques, and Practical Research Tips' was held under the moderation of Sinan Eker, Head of Üsküdar University Library and Documentation Department. Students were informed within the scope of the event.

The online event, moderated by Sinan Eker, Head of Üsküdar University Library and Documentation Department, was attended by Library and Documentation Specialists Deha Üstün and Uğurcan Özkan, as well as Üsküdar University academics and students.

Deha Üstün: 'You can access many resources in our library'

Deha Üstün, a Library and Documentation Specialist, provided information that the library portal can be accessed via the uskudar.edu.tr website; 'When you perform a catalog search, you can access many resources in our library. By logging in with your membership information, you can view the books checked out to you. You can reserve books and pick them up within three days. In the guides section, you can perform searches. Our website has a live help section, where you can reach us 24/7. We actively use our social media accounts, and you can also reach us there with your requests and demands,' he stated.

Uğurcan Özkan: 'Our library's database contains videos from real therapy sessions' 

Uğurcan Özkan, who participated in the event as a speaker, also shared information regarding the resources available in the library. Özkan said; 'Our library has many resources, and we use EBSCO databases. Journals and articles from many universities are available in our database. Thanks to the databases we use, you can access many resources from the world's most widely read journals. Additionally, much content from university publishing houses is available in our library. We use the database provided by TÜBİTAK to all universities in Turkey. For students studying in the psychology department, our systems include videos from real therapy sessions,' he stated.

The event, which explained the practical steps of library usage to students wishing to conduct research, concluded after participants' questions were answered.
