Head of Üsküdar University's Child Development Department, Prof. Dr. Nurper Ülküer, and Head of the Communication Faculty's Journalism Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gül Esra Atalay, participated in the '1st Children's Shura,' organized by the General Directorate of Child Services of the Ministry of Family and Social Services with the theme 'Children's Century' between April 26-28, 2023.

The opening program of the 1st Children's Shura, held at the Presidential Complex Exhibition Hall, began with the participation of the Minister of Family and Social Services, Ms. Derya Yanık.
Head of Üsküdar University's Child Development Department and Chair of the Child Development and Educators Association, Prof. Dr. Nurper Ülküer, participated in the Multidimensional Child Development and Social Relations commission, while Head of the Communication Faculty's Journalism Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gül Esra Atalay, took part in the Child and Technology commission.

Within the scope of the 1st Children's Shura program, which aimed to comprehensively address children's needs, problems, and solution proposals, 6 expert commissions were also formed.
Representatives from public institutions and organizations, academics, NGOs working in the field of children, and child specialists contributed to the commissions.
