A delegation from the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), one of Argentina's long-established higher education institutions, visited Üsküdar University. The delegation, consisting of academics and students, received information about the university's academic structure, internationalization vision, and the educational opportunities of the psychology department as part of the program. Possible cooperation opportunities such as student and academic exchange and joint scientific studies between the two institutions were evaluated through presentations and meetings.

Academics and students, especially Prof. Stella Maris Puhl, Head of the Forensic Psychology Department at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Buenos Aires, attended the visit.

The 14-person delegation, which included Prof. Stella Maris Puhl, as well as Prof. Especialista Matilde Aida, a faculty member from the Psycho-Forensic Interventions in Family Constellations and Pathologies Department, Assoc. Magister José Antonio Rodriguez, a faculty member from the Forensic Psychology Department, and Res. Asst. Abel Buzarquis, was hosted at the Üsküdar University Main Campus.


Academic structure of Üsküdar University explained
After having lunch with the delegation as part of the program, they moved to the Senate Hall.


A comprehensive presentation on Üsküdar University's academic structure, internationalization vision, and ongoing exchange programs was given by Exchange Programs Specialist Yusuf Emir Türk.
The presentation emphasized the university's student-centered education approach, research activities, and the importance it places on international collaborations.

Educational opportunities of the psychology department introduced
Subsequently, Asst. Prof. Fatma Turan, Coordinator of Positive Psychology at Üsküdar University and a faculty member in the Psychology Department of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, shared detailed information about the psychology department's academic staff, application areas, laboratory facilities, and educational opportunities offered to students.
Turan also touched upon the scientific studies and projects carried out within the department.

Academic cooperation opportunities discussed
During the meeting, student and academic exchange programs, joint scientific studies, and academic cooperation opportunities that could be carried out between the two universities were discussed. Delegation members exchanged views by asking questions about Üsküdar University's academic approach and the facilities it offers.

Turkish coffee tradition highlighted during the visit
During the continuation of the program, traditional Turkish coffee was offered to the guests. At this time, Asst. Prof. Fatma Turan drew attention to the importance of the visit in terms of friendship and cooperation, referring to the saying, "A single cup of coffee is remembered for forty years."

At the end of the visit, a plaque was presented to Prof. Stella Maris Puhl by Asst. Prof. Fatma Turan.
