Prof. Bohdan Buyak, Rector of Ternopil National Pedagogical University (TNPU), wrote an official letter of thanks addressed to President of Üsküdar University Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, Rector of Üsküdar University Prof. Nazife Güngör, PAMER Director Dr. Fehmi Ağca, and Ukraine–Türkiye Cooperation Coordinator Prof. İlham Miraç, as well as the entire Üsküdar University team. In the letter, he emphasized the importance of the scientific cooperation carried out between the two universities. Buyak also expressed his gratitude for Üsküdar’s support for Ukraine.

Üsküdar University’s Risale-i Nur Studies Platform (RINAP), the Postcolonial Studies Application and Research Center (PAMER), and TNPU’s Department of Philosophy had jointly organized a training program titled “Ukraine–Türkiye: Innovative Approaches in the Analysis of Social Processes.”

Following the program, Rector Prof. Bohdan Buyak of TNPU sent a letter of thanks to Üsküdar University.

Prof. Bohdan Buyak: “The project has made significant contributions to solving current social issues”

In his letter of thanks, Prof. Bohdan Buyak stated: “This project has made significant contributions to strengthening cooperation between our countries and universities, to the establishment of a common platform in scientific research, and to solving current social issues.”

He also expressed gratitude for the support shown to Ukraine

Rector Buyak conveyed his thanks to the administration of Üsküdar University and to Turkish academics for the support extended to Ukraine during a difficult period.

“Significant achievements were obtained through the project”

In his letter, Prof. Buyak also highlighted the project’s achievements: “The project has created a platform for knowledge and experience sharing among the faculty members and researchers of our universities and has enabled the study of new approaches in the analysis of social processes. In this context, important achievements have been made especially in areas such as: the axiological dimension of public actions and postcolonial studies; the potential and dangers of modern science with methodological approaches for the improvement of the educational process; the axiological analysis of the digitalization of public existence; and the analysis of mental health, as well as traditions and experiences of spiritual and religious values in the context of modern social challenges.”

Prof. İlham Miraç: “The academic bridge forms a solid foundation”

The main coordinator of the cooperation with Ukraine’s Ternopil University was Üsküdar University faculty member Prof. İlham Miraç. He emphasized that the academic bridge between the two universities provides a solid foundation for new scientific projects and educational initiatives.

As part of the scientific cooperation ongoing for nearly three years, activities have included:

  • Annual international conferences, workshops, and scientific seminars,
  • Scientific training programs for master’s and doctoral students,
  • Internship opportunities in Türkiye for TNPU students,
  • Online courses delivered by Turkish academics, and ERASMUS projects

Plaque Presented to Prof. Bohdan Buyak

At the “Ukraine–Türkiye: Innovative Approaches in the Analysis of Social Processes” program held in Istanbul, the Üsküdar University Plaque was received on behalf of TNPU Rector Prof. Bohdan Buyak by Associate Professors Natalia Morskaya, Halyna Poperechna, and Lyubov Kondratyuk of the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences.

Later, at a ceremony held in Ternopil, the plaque, along with books containing the scientific works of Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, was formally presented to Rector Prof. Bohdan Buyak.

The official letter of thanks and its Turkish translation were included in the ceremony file, while photos and details of the event were published on TNPU’s official website.

TNPU Academics: “We are grateful for the support and cooperation provided”

TNPU faculty members Natalia Morskaya, Halyna Poperechna, and Lyubov Kondratyuk made a joint statement after the program: “We are grateful for the academic support and cooperation extended to Ukraine during difficult times. We hope that this academic partnership will grow even stronger in the future.”

It is expected that the event and the long-term process of cooperation will contribute to strengthening the scientific and cultural ties between the two universities, thereby creating a solid foundation for joint projects to be carried out in the future.
