Accordingly, students from the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Dentistry can pursue double majors in various departments of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, and Faculty of Health Sciences.
A medical student can choose computer and software engineering, while a dentistry student can choose psychology as a double major
Thanks to this new opportunity, a medical student can specialize in the future in areas such as artificial intelligence applications in healthcare or telemedicine systems by completing a double major in Computer or Software Engineering. Similarly, by choosing Bioengineering as a double major, they can gain in-depth knowledge in areas such as genetics or tissue engineering. A dentistry student, on the other hand, can choose a double major in Psychology and stand out in communicating with patients who have dental phobias and managing treatment processes.

Double major programs available for medical and dentistry students:
- Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences: Psychology, Psychology (English), Sociology
- Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences: Computer Engineering (English), Bioengineering (English), Software Engineering (English), Forensic Sciences
- Faculty of Health Sciences: Occupational Health and Safety, Healthcare Management, Social Work
Application requirements for double major:
- Timing: Undergraduate students can apply as early as the 3rd semester and no later than the beginning of the 6th semester.
- GPA: A minimum GPA of 3.00 (out of 4.00) is required.
- Course Status: Students must have successfully completed all credit courses taken up to the time of application.
According to the decision of the Üsküdar University Senate, double major applications are accepted once a year at the beginning of the academic year.
