The works of Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Communication faculty members were opened to visitors with the exhibition. The exhibition, held for the first time under the name “Faculty Members Mixed Exhibition” and aimed to become traditional, features important works coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. İpek Fatma Ertan, Assist. Prof. Dr. Dicle Yıldırım, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Ezgi Şen. Interest in the exhibition has been quite intense since the first day.
Prof. Dr. Süleyman İrvan; 'Art is a part of communication.'
Prof. Dr. Süleyman İrvan, Dean of the Faculty of Communication, who opened the “Faculty Members Mixed Exhibition”, stated: “This exhibition consists of the works of our faculty members. It is primarily an exhibition to foster camaraderie. The end of the semester has arrived. Our instructors brought together their own paintings and photographs here. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the earthquakes experienced, there has been a disconnection between art and the individual. We decided to organize this exhibition to compensate for that a bit and to foster camaraderie. Also, we are a faculty of communication. Communication is important to us. Art is a part of communication.”

Interdisciplinary works are featured in the exhibition…
Emphasizing the importance of inspiring students regarding exhibition culture, exhibition design, and curatorial processes, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ezgi Şen stated: “I believe that the mixed exhibition of faculty members is important for bringing together academics producing in the field of art and design on a common ground, and for inspiring students regarding exhibition culture, exhibition design, and curatorial processes. The inclusion of interdisciplinary works in the exhibition further enriches this process. In particular, the emergence of AI-based works in exhibitions signals that we will now frequently see next-generation art and design practices in exhibitions. In this context, it is possible to say that the exhibition offers visitors new perspectives by stepping outside the conventional framework. My wish is for this event, which is being held for the first time and brings together many works from the art and design field, to be organized annually and become traditional.”

“Faculty Members Mixed Exhibition” met visitors for the first time.
Speaking about the importance of the exhibition that brings together academics producing in the context of communication, Assist. Prof. Dr. Dicle Yıldırım said: “The Faculty of Communication Faculty Members Mixed Exhibition, which met visitors for the first time, was organized to bring together numerous academics producing in the context of art, design, and communication. The techniques of the works included in the exhibition encompass a rich practice such as photography, digital illustration, digital collage, AI-generated designs, mixed media, digital designs, and modeling.”
