Üsküdar University Communicators Receive 7 Awards This Year from the Young Communicators Competition

The award ceremony for the 32nd Young Communicators Competition, organized this year by the Turkish Journalists' Association and Aydın Doğan Foundation, has been held. Six students from Üsküdar University Faculty of Communication who reached the finals made their mark on the night by receiving a total of 7 awards with their projects, including 1 first place, 4 second places, and 2 third places. 

The award ceremony for the competition, which aims to raise Faculty of Communication students as innovative, investigative, and inspiring journalists and media leaders, was held. In the competition, where 46 projects by 61 Faculty of Communication students from 16 universities were deemed worthy of awards, students from Üsküdar University Faculty of Communication made their mark on the night with their achievements. 

Dean of Üsküdar University Faculty of Communication, Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör, expressed her pride in the award-winning students and thanked their instructors who mentored and guided them throughout the competition process: Head of the Journalism Department at the Faculty of Communication, Prof. Dr. Süleyman İrvan, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nihal Toros, Research Assistant Selin Maden, and Research Assistant Atila Erdemir.

Üsküdar Communication students return with awards again

In the Turkish Journalists' Association Aydın Doğan Young Communicators Competition, Üsküdar University Faculty of Communication student Merve Şişman became the most prominent name of the night with 2 awards, taking 1 first place and 1 second place. Merve Şişman won the 1st Place Award in the Internet Publishing Branch Blog Category and the 2nd Place Award in the Internet Publishing Branch Internet Media Site Category.

Additionally, among the Faculty of Communication students, Melisa Duygun received the 2nd Place Award in the Internet Publishing Branch Blog Category, Zeynep Şahin was awarded the 2nd Place Award in the Internet Publishing Branch Internet Site Category, Üsküdar News Agency reporter Ayça Aracıçam won the 2nd Place Award in the Written Branch Sports Category, Bilal Sadi won the 3rd Place Award in the Internet Publishing Branch Internet Site Category, and Ümmü Gülsüm Dural won the 3rd Place Award in the Written Branch News-News Research Category.
