The 43rd session of the '1 Topic 1 Guest' event, organized by Üsküdar University's Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental Health Application and Research Center (ÜSGÜMER), was held online. The guest of the program was Alparslan Yılmaz, Co-founder of Yankı Academy and Class A Occupational Safety Specialist.

"Exposure to risks related to welding is important in occupational safety"
Yılmaz, who delivered his presentation titled 'Digital Solutions in OHS Trainings,' provided information about the 100% locally designed Intelligent Dojo system. Yılmaz said, “It is a system designed by the Yankı Team that provides digital training to private schools, businesses, factories, individuals, or public institutions with tablets, interactive walls, VR, AR, and Simulators. Intelligent Dojo is 100% locally designed. One side is related to software and the other side is related to content development.”
Explaining why they named their system Intelligent Dojo, Yılmaz said, “Since discovering writing, humanity, from the Sumerians onwards, has wanted to pass its experiences to other generations. Of course, they first drew shapes in caves, and once writing was discovered, the work became easier and accelerated further with the printing press. This is what humanity actually desires. They have wanted to share things since ancient times. The reason we call it Intelligent Dojo is that the Japanese also call their training centers 'Dojo'. The entire automotive sector is familiar with this Dojo. The basic logic in Dojo is for workers in any department in the automotive industry to practice and develop skills to become aware of risks before starting work. For example, if I am going to work in a welding department, exposure to risks related to welding is important in occupational safety.”

Explaining the logic behind Intelligent Dojo, Yılmaz said; "It is a system designed by the Yankı Team that provides digital training to private schools, businesses, factories, individuals, or public institutions with tablets, interactive walls, VR, AR, and simulators. Intelligent Dojo is 100% locally designed. One side is related to software and the other side is related to content development. We have integrated this specifically for occupational health and safety, and we support its applications with augmented reality and virtual reality, or by implementing real simulators.”
"The application is supported by virtual reality"
Yılmaz stated that people can also learn while explaining through the system; “With this system, employees receive certificates by experiencing occupational safety and on-the-job training in safe environments with virtual and real-world elements. The application is supported by virtual reality. For example, a working-at-height application or a confined space simulation can be experienced. For instance, in an automotive factory, there were 3 common types of accidents involving seasonal workers. An accident simulation was prepared for them, and participants watched the simulations before starting work. No accidents related to those incidents occurred that season. In virtual reality, we are as wrapped up as your imagination allows. In addition to ready-made content, content can also be created according to company-specific risks.”
