Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör: “We are Atatürk's children”

Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör stated that she was proud to be at Feminenartfest on the 100th anniversary of the Republic; “I am a scientist, but I would have preferred to be an artist or an art person. I congratulate all of you for your achievements and your artistic spirit. I am proud to be part of such an event on the 100th anniversary of our Republic. We are Atatürk's children; we always follow in his footsteps.”

Lale Belkıs: “Art is freedom of thought”

Yeşilçam actress Lale Belkıs, emphasizing that art is freedom, said; “I started my art life as a model. I wore out the catwalks; the catwalks couldn't wear me out. An artist is so deep in thought that they are the shadow of us all. Art is freedom of thought. Art for me is love, for me it is composition, for me it is a friend, a shoulder, a sanctuary... Let us freely reflect these thoughts. Whether it's form or drawing, whatever it may be, let objects live among themselves. Whether it's Picasso or Eyüboğlu or Fikret Mualla, let them lie freely like Orhan Veli, let them live as they wish. No one will be harmed by these beauties, only benefit... Modernity, change, and beauties await us. Everything among what we experience and what is experienced, all of it is yours. It is your efforts and the efforts of art. I thank all artists.”

Following the Q&A session, plaques were presented to the participants.

The event concluded after a group photo session.
