Dr. Nebiye Yaşar: “We aim to empower every family as a school, every parent as a life guide”
The scientific coordination of the trainings was carried out by Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Nebiye Yaşar, Üsküdar Üniversitesi Social Contribution Coordinator and Young Brains Academy Director. Clinical Psychologist Edibe Serra Erol conducted the family workshop sessions.
Emphasizing the project's impact on social transformation, Yaşar stated; “Family mentoring is much more than just training. It is the beginning of a value-based transformation at the heart of society. Each family member gaining awareness in their inner world is the first step towards establishing healthy bonds in relationships. With this project, we aim to empower every family as a school, every parent as a life guide.”

Experience-based learning model applied
In the sessions where participants took an active role, an experience-based learning model was applied through case analyses, group work, empathy exercises, and role-playing.
In the evaluations conducted at the end of the training, participants stated that the program made significant contributions to both their personal and professional development.
Prof. Dr. İlhan Geçit: “The path to a strong society goes through strong families”
Malatya Yeşilyurt Mayor Prof. Dr. İlhan Geçit drew attention to the importance of the project. Geçit stated; “We are implementing the 2025 Family Year vision, announced by our President, with a model that will set an example for all of Turkey, starting from Yeşilyurt. Family is the most fundamental institution where individuals grow with love, compassion, and belonging. The path to a strong society goes through strong families. Family Mentoring trainings are the most concrete indicator of this understanding.”
A new vision is being brought to the family
The project, carried out under the auspices of the Malatya Governorship and in cooperation with the Yeşilyurt Municipality, also makes a strong contribution to the “2025 Family Year” vision announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The project, which strengthens social solidarity and scientifically supports family values, will be extended throughout Turkey in line with Üsküdar Üniversitesi's Social Contribution vision.
