Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör, Dean of the Faculty of Communication Prof. Dr. Gül Esra Atalay, Deputy Dean Dr. Lecturer Ceren Saran Doğan, and Journalism Department Research Assistant Atila Erdemir attended the 2025 – 2026 Higher Education Academic Year Opening Ceremony, held at the Ankara Beştepe Nation's Congress and Culture Center with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The academic year opening ceremony held at the Ankara Beştepe Nation's Congress and Culture Center took place under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
In addition to state officials, ministers, members of the Council of Higher Education, heads of relevant institutions, ambassadors, rectors, academics, and students attended the ceremony.

In his speech at the ceremony, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan gave important messages regarding the ceasefire in Gaza and stated, “We will support reconstruction efforts with the international community to rebuild Gaza.”
