Üsküdar University's 2024-2025 academic year orientation days have been completed. The orientation programs, carried out with the participation of academic and administrative staff, concluded with the Preparatory School, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Communication, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Health Sciences, and Vocational School of Health Services.
The new academic year orientation programs, which started on September 23 with the Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry, were completed with other faculties at the Nermin Tarhan Conference Hall at the Central Campus, the Ibn Sina Auditorium at the Faculty of Health Sciences, and the Emir Nebi Conference Hall at the Çarşı Campus.
The opening speeches of the Foreign Languages and Preparatory Program orientation programs, held at the Nermin Tarhan Conference Hall, were delivered by Lecturer Dilek Batur, Coordinator of Foreign Languages. Batur informed the students about the preparatory program and drew attention to its importance.
During the orientation of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, general information about the faculty was provided. The opening speech of the program was delivered by Prof. Dr. Deniz Ülke Arıboğan, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Arıboğan introduced the students to all departments and faculty members of the faculty, providing them with information.
During the orientation of the International Relations Office, presentations were made to the students. The efforts made to ensure that students from all over the world receive the highest quality education and training services were discussed.
Within the scope of the programs where information about all the operations and activities of the university was conveyed, the opening speeches for the orientations of the Faculty of Communication and the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences were delivered by Prof. Dr. Süleyman İrvan, Advisor to the Rector, and Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences.
The orientation program for the Faculty of Health Sciences was held in two separate sessions. The opening speeches for the orientation program were delivered by Prof. Dr. Arif Aktuğ Ertekin, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences. Students met at the NP Sağlık Campus and Çarşı Campus according to their departments.
The orientation program for the Vocational School of Health Services (SHMYO) took place at the Çarşı Campus. The opening speeches for the program were delivered by Prof. Dr. Mesut Karahan, Director of the Vocational School of Health Services (SHMYO).
In the program with high participation, following the opening speeches, the departments and directorates operating within Üsküdar University provided information to newly registered students of Üsküdar University before the new academic year.
