Üsküdar University held its 2023-2024 New Academic Year orientation for students with the participation of academic and administrative staff. The new academic year orientation program, which began with Medicine and Dentistry; was completed with programs from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Communication, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Health Sciences, and the Vocational School of Health Services. During the programs, newly registered students at Üsküdar University were informed before the new academic year.
The opening speeches of the Foreign Languages and Preparatory Program orientation programs, held at the Nermin Tarhan Conference Hall, were delivered by Dilek Batur, Coordinator of Foreign Languages.
Subsequently, Prof. Dr. Deniz Ülke Arıboğan, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, delivered the opening speeches for the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences orientation programs. Arıboğan introduced the students to all departments and instructors and provided information.
Within the scope of programs where information about all operations and activities of the university was conveyed, the opening speeches for the orientation programs of the Faculty of Communication and the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences were delivered by Prof. Dr. Süleyman İrvan, Dean of the Faculty of Communication, and Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences.
The Faculty of Health Sciences orientation program was held in two separate sessions. Students met at the NP Sağlık Campus and Çarşı Campus according to their departments.
The Vocational School of Health Services (SHMYO) orientation program was held at the Çarşı Campus.
Prof. Dr. Arif Aktuğ Ertekin, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, delivered the opening speeches for the Faculty of Health Sciences orientation programs, while Prof. Dr. Mesut Karahan, Director of SHMYO, delivered the opening speeches for the SHMYO orientation program.
Following the opening speeches, the departments and directorates operating within Üsküdar University provided information to newly registered students before the new academic year.
