Üsküdar Üniversitesi's 2020-2021 academic year orientation programs have commenced. The first of the orientation sessions was held for Faculty of Medicine students.
In the program held online via Zoom, students were informed about many topics related to academic and administrative work.
“Not a field to be chosen with hesitation”
Speaking at the program, Prof. Dr. Haydar Sur, Dean of Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Medicine, stated, “Hesitation brings no good in medicine. Therefore, medicine is not a field that can be chosen with hesitation. As I saw the sparkle in your eyes, my heart and the hearts of my colleagues fluttered with excitement. I thank all my students for these feelings.”
“We will leave no gaps in your skills”
Prof. Dr. Sur, stating that online education worried the students, said, “You will take the courses online for now. Do not let this situation worry you. Throughout this entire process, all our instructors have considered every topic. In the summer, we will provide you all with training sessions at school in the form of studies. We will leave no gaps in your skills; do not be disheartened about this.”
In the continuation of the program, the directorates also provided information to the students.
Corporate Communications Director Tahsin Aksu, Student Affairs Director Cumhur Bakır, Erasmus Institutional Coordinator Emre Üçsular, Health, Culture and Sports Director Özcan Demir, Library and Documentation Manager Duygu Nar, Information Technologies Director Celil Çakmak, and Aslı Cevahir Arabacı Keleşabdioğlu from the Career Center Directorate informed the students about their respective units and operations.
