Üsküdar to Host 19th Computer Engineering Students Congress

Üsküdar Üniversitesi Computer Engineering students participated in the “18th Computer Engineering Students Congress,” held at the Bayır Diamond Hotel hosted by Konya Technical University. Over three days, the Congress hosted presentations by experts in various fields, from the defense industry to the gaming sector, and included various workshops. Üsküdar will host the 19th Computer Engineering Students Congress in 2023.

Leading companies in the sector such as Aselsan, Huawei, Microsoft, Emlakjet, Trendyol, ING, and Intertech, as well as various other companies like Teamplay and Udo Games, participated in the Congress.

The Congress, which began with opening speeches by the Rector of Konya Technical University and the Head of the Chamber of Computer Engineers, featured more than twenty sessions and workshops.

In 2023, Üsküdar will host the “19th Computer Engineering Students Congress”!

Üsküdar Üniversitesi will host the “19th Computer Engineering Students Congress,” which is planned to take place in February-March 2023 and is expected to attract over 1500 participants.

The selection was between Üsküdar Üniversitesi and İnönü Üniversitesi!

Students showed great interest in the Congress, which saw the participation of more than thirty universities. The organization of the Congress was carried out by a 24-person “Organizing Committee” consisting of Konya Technical University students, while 11 students from 8 different universities served on the executive board. 

On the second day of the Congress, the names of the candidate universities that would host the Congress the following year were announced.

It was stated that a total of 4 universities applied for candidacy, but only 2 universities met the conditions, and it was announced that the selection would be between Üsküdar Üniversitesi and İnönü Üniversitesi. Representatives from the universities gave a 10-minute promotional presentation to the official participants on May 14 at 5:00 PM. Following the presentations, a cocktail reception was held at 7:00 PM on the same day for promotional activities. A four-person team represented Üsküdar Üniversitesi at the cocktail reception, which was attended by official participants and teams from the candidate universities. Additionally, members of the Advisory and Supervisory Board, who had made significant contributions to the Congress in previous years, also participated and shared their experiences.

On the last day of the Congress, following the speeches, the Executive Board elections were held first. Üsküdar Üniversitesi Computer Engineering student Nurullah Guguk and Software Engineering student Nisa Nur Aktaş were candidates for the Executive Board. After the campaign speeches, voting commenced. In the election, which was conducted by secret ballot and public count, Nisa Nur Aktaş and Nurullah Guguk were elected as alternate members of the Executive Board. Following the Executive Board election, the candidate university selection began. Since some of the official participants were on the Executive Board (the Executive Board does not have voting rights), a total of 16 Official Participants voted for both the Executive Board and the Candidate University selection. Üsküdar Üniversitesi secured 13 out of 16 votes cast, thereby earning the right to host the “19th Computer Engineering Students Congress” in 2023.
