The 10th Brain Mapping Day event, to be held this year at the US Congress, will take place on October 19, 2023 at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, DC. Supported by Üsküdar University and NPİSTANBUL Hastanesi, the event will serve as an important platform to introduce the latest developments in brain mapping and to discuss and debate ongoing work in the field.
Üsküdar University, NPİSTANBUL Hastanesi, and Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan were featured in the promotional video.
The promotional video, which praised the collaborative work carried out by the Society for Brain Mapping and Therapeutics (SBMT), active in brain research in the USA, and Üsküdar University, highlighted that on May 19, 2015, Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan was invited to the US Congress to meet with representatives of the brain initiative, and emphasized his cooperation with SBMT representing Turkey.

The video also mentioned the work of Üsküdar University, which represented Turkey in the Brain Initiative Project, launched in 2013 by former US President Barack Obama, to research the unknown secrets of the brain and develop treatments for important diseases such as Autism, Schizophrenia, Parkinson's, and Alzheimer's.
The promotional video also featured Üsküdar University's participation in the pre-G20 Middle East Brain Mapping Initiative summit held in Dubai on June 11-12, 2015.

The video conveyed the message: “Think, create, understand, perceive, love, enjoy, be ambitious, and realize. Understand humanity, change the world.”
While Üsküdar University was chosen as the project partner from Turkey for the Brain Initiative Project, launched in 2015 as the most noteworthy project in the USA after the Human Genome Project; Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Society for Brain Mapping and Therapeutics (SBMT) - Brain Mapping and Therapy Association, which operates in brain research in the USA.
