Üsküdar University Vice Rector Prof. Türker Tekin Ergüzel visited Türkiye Yeşilay Cemiyeti President Assoc. Prof. Mehmet Dinç in his office. During the visit, inter-institutional cooperation opportunities were evaluated. In the cordial meeting, the fight against addiction, the psychosocial development of young people, and the importance of social awareness efforts were discussed. The visit particularly highlighted the contributions that strengthening university-civil society collaborations would make to public health. Additionally, artificial intelligence-based addiction models were also evaluated within this scope.

During the visit to the office of Türkiye Yeşilay Cemiyeti President Assoc. Prof. Mehmet Dinç, the activities of the “Young Yeşilay Club”, actively operating within Üsküdar University, were also brought up. The importance of the club's activities in raising awareness about the fight against addiction among young people and increasing volunteerism was emphasized.
Artificial intelligence-based addiction models evaluated
During the meeting, artificial intelligence-based addiction models developed at Üsküdar University and scientific studies carried out in cooperation with NPİSTANBUL Hastanesi were also discussed.
In this context, it was stated that the projects developed on early diagnosis, risk analysis, and personalized treatment methods offer an innovative approach in the fight against addiction.

Prof. Türker Tekin Ergüzel stated that the meeting aimed at developing inter-institutional dialogue and cooperation, and expressed that it is an important opportunity for the development of social and scientific projects in the future.
In the upcoming period, the goals are to increase joint activities, strengthen Young Yeşilay structures, and integrate AI-supported scientific studies into the field.

Afterwards, Prof. Türker Tekin Ergüzel presented the books 'Bağımlılık' (Addiction), 'Ezber Bozan Hayat' (Life That Breaks Molds), and 'Aileye Bilgelik Aşısı' (Wisdom Vaccine for the Family) by Üsküdar University President, Psychiatrist Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, to Assoc. Prof. Mehmet Dinç.
It was also stated that by combining the power of academia and civil society in this context, the groundwork for more effective and sustainable projects will be laid.
