Data Journalism workshop was held at Üsküdar Communnication
"Data Journalism" workshop was held by Üsküdar University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Journalism. Students showed great interest in the workshop, where data journalism was discussed, and the importance of data and news production was explained. The students, who put their theoretical knowledge into practice, were also entitled to receive a certificate at the end of the workshop.
The workshop held at Üsküdar University South Campus Design Laboratory was attended by Prof. Süleyman İrvan, Head of the Department of Journalism of the Faculty of Communication, Asst. Prof. Sadettin Demirel and students of the Faculty of Communication attended.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Prof. Süleyman İrvan, Head of the Department of Journalism, stated that the aim of the study was to explain data journalism to students and to convey the importance of data and news production.
Theory turned into practice
In the workshop conducted by Asst. Prof. Sadettin Demirel, important information about data-based news production processes was shared. Demirel explained the research techniques and digital tools that form the basis of data journalism with examples and showed how data can be used in the news. Students had the opportunity to put theoretical knowledge into practice.
Participants were given certificates
At the end of the workshop, A certificate was given to the students by Prof. Süleyman İrvan and Asst. Prof. Sadettin Demirel.
The event ended with a group photo shoot.
