Psycho-social support work is also carried out with the truck where eye screening of children between the ages of 7-13 is carried out in container cities.
First of all, the truck that goes to Adıyaman is carried out under the coordination of Üsküdar University Health Management Master's program graduate Aykut Çağlı. Çağlı said that they visited the earthquake regions and screened the children between the ages of 7-13 there within the scope of the "A Bright Life with Preventable Blindness Project".
Stating that they started to work in the region after the earthquakes based in Kahramanmaraş, Çağlı said that "We aim to find permanent solutions instead of the tried temporary solutions by conducting eye scans of our children in the earthquake region together with expert doctors, expert opticians and Turkish Red Crescent organizations. We will spend two days in Adıyaman. So far, we have performed eye scans of a total of 2,000 children. We refer the children we detect to the relevant health institutions and carry out patient follow-up.".
Çağlı added that the Love and Health Truck will continue to carry out screening and patient follow-up in earthquake areas.
With the support of Üsküdar University, children between the ages of 7-13 in tents and container cities are screened in the truck created by the Governorship of Muş, Muş Municipality, Muş Alparslan University and Muş Kızılay Branch.
