Üsküdar University’s Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is hosting an important academic event as part of the 2025 Family Year. The panel titled “Researching Women in Modern Family: Challenges and Contributions” will take place on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 14:00 in the South Campus Fuat Sezgin Conference Hall. The event is organized in collaboration with ÜSÇÖZÜM and the Department of English Translation and Interpreting.

The primary aim of the panel is to examine the position of women within the modern family structure from a scientific perspective and to offer solutions to current issues in this field. Today, the concept of family is being reshaped through social and cultural transformations, and in this process, the roles women undertake, the challenges they face, and their contributions to society are gaining increasing significance. During the event, topics such as gender roles, work–family balance, cultural differences, and modern family dynamics will be discussed through an academic lens.

The panel will feature a moderator from Üsküdar University’s Department of English Translation and Interpreting, along with a guest speaker from Yıldız Technical University’s Department of Modern Languages. Participants will have the opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the role of women in modern family structures through insights shared by experts.

This event aims to raise awareness in the areas of family studies, women’s studies, and social change. Üsküdar University continues to provide a strong platform for students and researchers through such events that contribute to academic knowledge production.
