Rethinking Creativity and Artificiality: A Multidisciplinary Approach to AI Studies

Professor Süleyman İrvan, Head of the Department of Journalism at Üsküdar University’s Faculty of Communication, and Dr. Maria Pia Ester Cristaldi held an online meeting with academics from the University of Calabria in Italy and Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu in Romania. The Zoom meeting brought together Associate Professor Giusy Gallo and Professor Adela Popa.

Discussions focused on the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into university curricula. Emphasizing the importance of an interdisciplinary approach, participants noted that collaboration across different fields of expertise would significantly enrich AI education. The meeting concluded with a decision to expand the partnership and to involve other departments within Üsküdar University’s Faculty of Communication—particularly the Department of New Media and Communication—in the process.
