Research Focus
The Design Science Research and Application Group aims to take a close look at design science and to practice and work in areas that bring science closer to design and design closer to science. Through design research, it aims to make applications and productions in the fields of visual communication design. Design science focuses on the intersection between creativity and science. These areas can be specific fields of study that bring design closer to science, such as medical illustration, as well as research on analyzing the perception of the design product on the audience and consumer with measurements and clinical methods. All subfields of visual communication design are the common motivation of the research and application group. The primary goals of this group are to contribute to the science of design, to engage in various research endeavors and to visualize the potentials between these fields.
