International Relations Office
The Directorate of International Relations is a strategic unit that aims to enhance the University’s academic visibility on a global scale, strengthen international collaborations and foster a multicultural university environment, in line with the University’s internationalisation objectives. Through the Office of International Relations and the Erasmus+ and Exchange Programmes Office, our Directorate provides a wide range of services, from international student admissions to exchange programmes.
The International Relations Offices (International Admissions and Communications, and International Promotion and Marketing) manage the application, admission and enrolment processes for students from various countries around the world who have chosen our University in an efficient and transparent manner. Applications received through our application system are assessed by specialist teams; comprehensive guidance is provided to students throughout various stages, including the preparation of acceptance letters, information regarding visa processes, final enrolment procedures, the university adaptation process, and residence permit applications. In these processes, a student-centred, reliable and sustainable service approach is adopted in accordance with relevant legislation. Furthermore, our Office oversees the University’s international promotion activities and plays an active role in developing relationships with institutions abroad.
The International Student Services (ISS) Unit operates with the aim of supporting the academic and social integration of international students studying at our University. ISS coordinates orientation processes from the moment students arrive in Turkey, facilitates their adaptation to campus life, and provides guidance on administrative and social matters they may encounter. The unit offers support to students on matters such as residence permit procedures, health insurance, official formalities and daily life, whilst also promoting multicultural interaction through the social and cultural events it organises. In this regard, ISS aims to make international students’ experiences at our University more productive, safe and satisfaction-oriented.
The Erasmus+ and Exchange Programmes Office (Coordination Unit), meanwhile, ensures that students and academic/administrative staff can benefit seamlessly from study, placement and teaching mobility abroad under the Erasmus+ programme and bilateral exchange agreements. The Coordination Office manages communication with partner universities, develops new partnerships, updates existing agreements and meticulously coordinates all stages of the exchange process.
