The Department of Health, Culture and Sports (SKS) is the administrative unit at Uskudar University that aims not only to support students’ academic lives but also to transform the university experience into a multifaceted space for personal growth. SKS offers a holistic structure that plans, implements and sustains services supporting students’ physical, mental, social and cultural development.
Aiming for students to develop into well-rounded individuals not only academically but also personally, socially and culturally from the moment they set foot on campus, SKS adopts an approach based on the active participation of students. Through the activities carried out and the support services provided, students are helped both to make their university life more productive and fulfilling and to shape their lives as strong individuals after graduation.
The services offered by SKS are delivered within an integrated structure covering health, psychological counseling, culture, sports, accessibility, accommodation and student support. Thanks to this structure, quick and effective solutions are provided for students’ diverse needs, and university life is made more accessible, participatory and sustainable.
By helping students discover their interests, develop their talents and take part in social life as active individuals, SKS also aims to build a campus culture that strengthens their sense of belonging to the university. In this regard, SKS continues its activities as one of the core units that complements students’ academic achievements, adds value to their lives and makes the university experience meaningful.
