Course registration for Graduate, Undergraduate, and Associate Degree students for the 2026-2027 Academic Year Fall Semester will be held between September 14 and September 27, 2026.
Course add-drop procedures will take place between September 28 and October 4, 2026. (Course selections can also be made during these dates.)
1st-year (Freshman) students' course registrations are processed automatically. 1st-year students do not need to take any action regarding course registration. They are only required to log in to the Student Information System (OBS) and verify that their courses have been assigned.
Steps for Registration
- Students will select the courses they will take this semester through the Student Information System (OBS) course selection screen.
- Students must approve their course registrations online and submit them for their academic advisors' online approval.
- Students who wish to consult their academic advisors regarding registration procedures can contact them via messaging on the STİX system or through their advisors' official email addresses.

Student advisory procedures will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of our University's Student Advisory Directive.
Important Notes for Undergraduate and Associate Degree Students
- Course registrations for 1st-year students are done automatically. 1st-year students do not need to take any action. They only need to log in to the Student Information System (OBS) and check that their courses have been assigned.
- Only 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year students will perform their course registration via the Student Information System (OBS).
- Students must primarily register for courses they failed in previous semesters or courses they have not taken before. In doing so, the chronological order of the semesters must be followed. For courses that have been removed from the curriculum or are not offered, alternative designated courses must be taken.
- The standard semester course load for students is 30 ECTS, and the maximum course load is 45 ECTS.
- Students cannot take courses that are not approved by their academic advisors.
- With the approval of their advisors, students may retake courses they have previously passed in order to raise their grades. Regardless of the previous grade, the final grade obtained will be valid for these courses.
- Students will complete their course registration via OBS and submit it electronically for advisor approval. The registration process is complete only after the academic advisor approves it on the system.
- Students whose course registrations are not approved cannot attend classes.
- Students' active student status on e-Government (e-Devlet) will be activated after their course registration is approved by their advisor.
- Students who wish to contact their advisors regarding registration procedures can do so via messaging on the STİX system or through their advisors' email addresses.
- 1st-year students cannot take courses from upper semesters.
- Double Major and Minor students can perform their course selection for double major or minor programs via OBS after approving their primary major course selections.
- Provided that they have passed all courses from previous semesters, students with a GPA (GANO) of 3.00 and above may take 1 additional course from an upper year starting from the beginning of the third semester, and students with a GPA of 3.50 and above may take up to 2 additional courses, subject to advisor approval.
- Undergraduate students whose GPA drops below 1.80 will fall into probationary status. Students who remain in probationary status at the end of the fourth semester can take a maximum of 2 courses from the fifth and subsequent semesters if their GPA is between 1.60-1.69, and a maximum of 3 courses if their GPA is between 1.70-1.79, until they clear their probationary status.

International students who prefer to take the Turkish Language and Principles of Atatürk and History of Revolutions courses via distance education in Turkish may apply to their academic advisors or the respective instructor to change their courses to the following codes:

Important Notes for Graduate Students

Attention to Students Extending Their Period of Study:
Students in undergraduate and associate degree programs who have completed the standard period of study and are therefore required to extend their period of study must complete their financial registration renewal through the automation system by entering the number of ECTS credits they are required to take during the fall and spring semesters. The standard period of study is defined as the end of the second year for associate degree programs and the end of the fourth year for undergraduate programs (the sixth year for the Faculty of Medicine and the fifth year for the Faculty of Dentistry). Students who are extending their period of study must complete the required procedures through the system below in order to complete their financial registration renewal. After completing their financial registration, students must register for their courses themselves through the Student Information System (OBS).
