Yavuz Zülfikaroğlu completed his undergraduate education at Istanbul University, Faculty of Letters, Department of French Novel Languages and Literature in 1980. Also, he completed his undergraduate education at Uludağ University, Faculty of Education, Department of English Language Teaching in 1989. Zülfikaroğlu has worked on teaching French and English in various educational institutions.
