Prof. Yavuz Atar, born in Üsküdar in 1977, completed his high school education at Eskişehir Fatih Science High School. He graduated from Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine in 2001. In 2008, he received his specialization in Otorhinolaryngology from Okmeydanı Education and Research Hospital. In 2009, he completed his compulsory service at Kastamonu Tosya Public Hospital. He worked as a specialist doctor in respectively Balıkesir Gönen and Sakarya Yenikent Public Hospitals. In 2013, he passed the written and oral exams of the Chief Assistant and started to work as a chief assistant at Okmeydanı Education and Research Hospital. Here, he established the Swallowing Disorders Polyclinic. He received the title of Associate Professor in 2018. Since 2019, he has worked as a Training Assistant at the same hospital. He was a member of the Clinical Research Ethics Committee in 2019-2021.
Prof. Yavuz Atar has transferred his knowledge in the field of Otorhinolaryngology to many international and national articles, scientific papers and book chapters, more than 50 of which are within the scope of Web of Science (WoS).
