Tunç Tuncel completed his undergraduate studies in the Department of Biology at Eskişehir Osmangazi University, followed by a master’s degree in Medical Genetics and a PhD in Medical Biology. He conducted his master’s research on the investigation of duplications and deletions in the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes in breast cancer using the MLPA technique.
He currently works as an R&D Specialist (Researcher) at the Turkish Biotechnology Institute and the Turkish National Genome Center (TUGEM), under the Turkish Health Institutes Presidency (TÜSEB). His research focuses on cancer genetics, genomics and bioinformatics, single-cell RNA sequencing, and molecular diagnostics. His primary areas of research and interest include cancer genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, single-cell RNA sequencing, and molecular biology.
