Tuğrul AKIN, MD

He was born in 1968. He graduated from Ankara Atatürk High School in 1985 and Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1991. He completed from the “ Air Medicine Basic Course" and became a “flight surgeon” in 1994.

In 1999, he received a ophthalmology specialist title by complete his medical training in GATA (Gülhane Military Medical School) Ophthalmology Department. He became assistant professor in 2002 and associate professor in 2009. He worked for 20 years in the “Turkish Air Force” and retired in 2013 with the rank of Associate Professor Colonel.

There are more than 100 publications including articles in international and national journals, presentations in international and national ophthalmology congresses and symposia, and chapter translations in books.
