Sadettin DEMİREL, Ph.D.

Sadettin Demirel completed his undergraduate education at Kadir Has University, Department of Public Relations and Publicity in 2016. He completed his first master's degree in 2018 at Kadir Has University, Department of   New Media. In 2019, he completed her second master's degree in Investigative Journalism at the University of Gothenburg as a Swedish Institute scholar. In 2023, he received his doctorate  degree from İstanbul University, Department of Journalism, with her research titled "Analyzing the Relationship Between Emotions and User Interactions in News on Twitter: A Multi-Method Study".

He is interested in topics such as new media, text mining, social sciences with programming, sentiment analysis, social networks, and data journalism. Demirel, who also actively participates in civil society activities, continues to work as the founder and board member of the istanbul-based Data Literacy Association (VOYD), which was established to promote data literacy in Türkiye and to support data journalism and open data activities.
