Prof. Dr. Müge Arslan is an academic working in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics. She completed her undergraduate and doctoral education in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics and her master's degree in Public Health at the Faculty of Medicine. During her 20-year professional career in academia, she has published numerous articles in international SCI/SSCI journals, served as a project leader and consultant in TÜBİTAKsupported projects, and has been a guest speaker and session chair at many national and international conferences, as well as chairing three conferences. Prof. Dr. Müge Arslan has edited two national and one international book. She has also written a book in English titled “Dietary Approaches to Irritable Bowel Syndrome,” published by Peterlang Publishing House and indexed in the Scopus database. She is a member of scientific and professional organizations such as the Turkish Dietitians Association, the Clinical Enteral Parenteral Nutrition Association, the Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Association, and the Therapeutic Brain Mapping Biological Psychiatry and Neurotechnology Association. She also took on responsibilities at workshops organized by the Ministry of Health. Outside of academia, Florence Nightingale worked as a nutritionist at hospitals such as the American Hospital and at the “Long Live Life Clinic” alongside Prof. Dr. Osman Müftüoğlu. She also worked as a nutritionist at her own private clinic on Bağdat Street, providing nutritional treatment for many diseases such as obesity, cardiovascular diseases, and cancer. In addition, she has provided nutrition consulting services to several private companies. Prof. Dr. Müge Arslan has participated as a guest speaker on numerous national television and radio programs and has written a nutrition and diet column in the Hürriyet newspaper for nearly two years. She continues to participate as a guest speaker on TV and radio programs and writes articles for various national newspapers.
She has been serving as the Department Chair and Head of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Üsküdar University since 2021.
