Merve Serin graduated from the Department of Biology at Gazi University in 2012. She completed her master's degree in the Perfusion Program within the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery at the Graduate School of Health Sciences, Ankara University. She then earned her Ph.D. in the Department of Biophysics, Basic Medical Sciences, at the Graduate School of Health Sciences, Adnan Menderes University.
