Koray Kırmızısakal earned his bachelor's degree in Radio, Television, and Cinema from Marmara University, followed by a master's degree in Communication Sciences from the same institution. He continued his academic career at Kocaeli University, where he obtained his PhD with a thesis titled "Revolution and Utopia in the Mars Trilogy," utilizing Fredric Jameson's utopian hermeneutics as a model for literary criticism.
He is also the co-founder of the digital magazine terrabayt.com. In this capacity, he serves as an editor, writer, translator, and podcast host. He has also published articles in Birikim, k24, e-skop, sosyalbilimler, and adhoc, along with Terrabayt. His research interests include cultural studies, critical theory, modern literature, new media, digital culture, and memes.
