Habib ERENSOY, MD

He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in 1995 and worked as a physician in Turkey and abroad between 1995-2002.

He graduated from İstanbul University, İstanbul Faculty of Medicine (Çapa) Department of Psychiatry and became a psychiatric specialist in 2006.

In 2005, he received his Bachelor's Degree in Addiction Psychiatry from the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands. He attended 'Addiction Counseling and Treatment Methods' training that consisted of 300 hours and lasted one year and a half in İstanbul Medical Faculty, Department of Psychiatry. He wrote his thesis on “Prevalence of Alcohol and Substance Use Disorders, Clinical Characteristics and Comorbidity among Patients Referred to the Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic”. He also worked in Psychooncology and Consultation-Liasion Psychiatry between 2006-2010. Received supervision and completed his education on diagnosis and treatment of Sexual Dysfunctions from CETAD.

He completed his state service obligation as a psychiatric specialist in Şanlıurfa.

His areas of interest are Addiction Psychiatry, Anxiety Disorders, Personality Disorders, Consultation, Liasion Psychiatry and Psychooncology and Sexual Dysfunctions. There are published articles in domestic and foreign journals and they are in the advisory board of magazine called Addiction. He is a member of Turkish Psychiatric Association, Turkish Medical Association Istanbul Medical Chamber. He speaks English and Persian. As of 2010, he has been working as Psychiatrist at NP İstanbul Hospital and Üsküdar University NP Etiler Polyclinic.
