She received her undergraduate degree (BSc) from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, Department of Medical Biological Sciences, and her master's degree (MSc) from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Molecular Biology-Genetics and Biotechnology. She worked as a research assistant during her master's degree. She did internships at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine Biochemistry and Microbiology Department laboratories and Genetics and Teratology Research Center (GETAM). She also worked as a research associate in the Department of Neurobiology and Anatomy at Drexel University School of Medicine in the USA. She later worked as a medical advisor in the pharmaceutical industry.
She currently works as a lecturer at Üsküdar University and is the head of the Biomedical Device Technology program. She is also having pHD in the Neuroscience program at Üsküdar University Health Sciences Institute.
