Dr Yildirim completed his medical education at Istanbul Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine between 1999 and 2005. During his medical training, he worked as an intern doctor at the Justus Liebig University Faculty of Medicine in Giessen, Germany.
Between 2005 and 2010, he completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Istanbul Bakırköy Obstetrics and Gynecology and Pediatrics Training and Research Hospital.
From 2011 to 2012, he fulfilled his compulsory service at Ağrı Doğubeyazıt State Hospital, where he performed the region’s first Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy. In 2012, he was awarded the Gynecologic Robotic Surgery Certification at Ege University Faculty of Medicine.
At the end of 2012, after successfully passing the Ministry of Health’s Examination, he was appointed as a Senior Specialist (Educational Staff Position) at Istanbul Bağcılar Training and Research Hospital, where he worked between 2013 and 2014.
Between 2014 and 2016, he continued working as a Senior Specialist at Istanbul Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Training and Research Hospital.
From 2016 to 2018, he completed his subspecialty training in Gynecologic Oncology Surgery at the same institution. In 2019, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor. Between 2019 and 2021, he completed his compulsory service as a Gynecologic Oncology Subspecialist at Elazığ Fethi Sekin City Hospital.
In 2019, he performed Turkey’s first Laparoscopic Inguinofemoral Lymph Node Dissection. He closely follows global innovations in his field and actively integrates them into his clinical practice.
He has authored more than 30 articles published in national and international peer-reviewed journals. His doctoral thesis was accepted into a Cochrane meta-analysis in 2019. To date, his publications have received 389 citations. His H-index is 11, and his i10-index is 14.
