Demet AKIN graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1991. She completed her medical residency in the field of Medical Pharmacology at Ankara University in 2001. Akın was awarded the title of Associate Professor in Medical Pharmacology in 2012 and was promoted to Professor in 2019.
