Çiğdem DEMİRSOY (Part Time)

Born in İstanbul, 1963. She graduated from İstanbul Girls' High School in 1980 and İ.Ü. She graduated from the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Literature. Between 1984-1985, while continuing to work as a volunteer psychologist in Istanbul Medical Faculty Psychiatry Clinic, she was trained in psychometric tests from the psychology laboratory.

Between 1985-1997. She worked in Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine as a clinical psychologist in various departments of Psychiatry Department. During this time, she continued to receive training in psychological tests and psychotherapy applications.

In 1996, she completed her master's degree and received a master's degree at the Institute of Forensic Medicine with a thesis study titled “Investigation of Factors Affecting Offense in Psychoactive Substance Use”.

Between 1997-2000, she worked as a psychologist at KASDAV Health Center and in the Kadıköy Municipality Health Affairs Directorate. Within the framework of the studies about Kadıköy Municipality children's nurseries, she has been trained in “Total Quality Management” and conducted total quality secretariat in the quality studies of the nurseries. During her municipal duties, she gave parent training seminars on “Parental child communication and parenting”.

In 2001, she voluntarily resigned from her duties in the state office.

During 2001-2002 education period, she worked as a school psychologist at Özel Marmara Primary School.

Since 200,1 she has been working in NPGRUP “NPSUAM Feneryolu Polyclinic” adult unit.She uses  cognitive-behavioral-oriented therapies in the treatment of individual problems such as anxiety disorders such as depression, panic attacks and OCD, bipolar disorder, psychoses in adults. She uses the uses the NBF method she learned from Prof. Kamran Fallahpour’s Nörobiofeedback training on stress management and mental disorders. In addition to individual problems, she also studies marital and family relationship problems and sexual problems.
