Ceren ACUN, Ph.D

Ceren Acun holds her PhD from Galatasaray University, Media and Communication Studies, with her thesis titled “The Symbolic Capital of the Diaspora: Family Photographs of the Rum Istanbulites of Athens”. She completed her MA at Kadir Has University and her BA in Marmara University. Her research interests are the cultural studies, visual anthropology, memory studies, media and gender, visual culture, digital media and society. She worked as an editor and translator at several publishing houses. She has been teaching undergraduates and graduates at Uskudar University Faculty of Communication.
