Prof. Ceki Paltura, MD was born in Istanbul in 1980. He graduated from Istanbul Nişantaşı Anatolian High School in 1998. Between 1998 and 2004, he studied medicine at the English Department of Marmara University Faculty of Medicine. From 2005 to 2010, he completed his residency in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Istanbul Taksim Training and Research Hospital. His specialization thesis focused on “Subjective and Objective Evaluation of Changes in Voice Quality Following Treatment with a Combination of Nasal Steroid and Antihistamines in Patients with Allergic Rhinitis.”
Following his specialization, he served his military duty at Erzurum Mareşal Çakmak Military Hospital and completed his compulsory service at Kastamonu Taşköprü State Hospital. He worked at Istanbul Haseki Training and Research Hospital between 2013 and 2015, and at Gaziosmanpaşa Taksim Training and Research Hospital between 2015 and 2021. In 2020, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor at Gaziosmanpaşa Taksim Training and Research Hospital, where he also served as a Training Supervisor and Administrative Coordinator. In March 2022, he was appointed as the Head of the Department of Audiology at Istanbul Arel University.
As part of his professional development, in 2007 he received training in laryngeal surgery as an observer at the Center for Laryngeal Surgery & Voice Rehabilitation of Boston General Hospital. He also participated in specialized training programs organized annually by the Turkish Otorhinolaryngology Association, including the Schools of Laryngology-Phoniatrics, Otology, and Head and Neck Surgery. He has published more than 20 scientific articles in international and national peer-reviewed journals.
Prof. Ceki Paltura is married and father of two children. Paltura currently serves as a Professor in the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases at Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine (English).
