Buğra Can BAYÇİFCİ

Bayçifci graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of History in 2017. He holds an MLitt Intellectual History degree from the University of St Andrews, School of History. He is currently a doctoral candidate at Boğaziçi University, the Atatürk Institute for Modern Turkish History, which he joined in 2019. He translated 'Barbarossa and the Bloodiest War in History' by the British author and documentary producer Stewart Binns into Turkish. The book, which focuses primarily on the humanitarian aspects of the Eastern Front in WW2, was published by Yeditepe Yayınevi in Türkiye in 2022 as 'Barbarossa ve Tarihteki En Kanlı Savaş'. Bayçifci's research interests include late Ottoman and early Republican history of political thought, Turkish-Italian intellectual relations, and approaches and methodologies in history and social sciences.
