Bedia Küçükçalık completed her undergraduate and master’s studies in the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at Boğaziçi University and her PhD in the Department of Islamic History and Arts at Istanbul University. She completed her doctoral research with her dissertation entitled Benlizâde Mecmuası (İnceleme-Metin-MESTAP'a Göre Tasnif).
Her academic research focuses on Ottoman literature, Divan poetry, Turkish language and literature, and studies of language and style. In addition, Küçükçalık contributes articles to the Açık Görüş platform of Star newspaper, where she offers assessments on women, privacy, social dynamics, and cultural issues in the process of modernization.
Her primary areas of research and interest include Ottoman literature, Divan poetry, Turkish language and literature, women and society, privacy, and cultural analysis.
