1976 İstanbul doğumludur. İlk öğretimini Tuzla Merkez İlköğretim Okulunda, orta öğretimini Hüseyin Avni Sözen Anadolu Lisesinde tamamladı. Marmara Üniversitesi Biyoloji Öğretmenliğinden 1999 yılında mezun olduktan sonra Marmara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Tıbbi Biyoloji ve Genetik Bölümünde sırasıyla master (2003) ve doktora (2009) programlarını tamamladı. Aynı zamanda 2000- 2009 yıllarında Marmara Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi Temel Tıp Bilimleri Tıbbi Biyoloji ve Genetik Bölümünde araştırma görevlisi olarak çalışmıştır. 2009- 2012 yılları arasında biyoteknoloji firmalarında danışmanlık yaptıktan sonra Üsküdar Üniversitesi Mühendislik ve Doğa Bilimleri Fakültesi Moleküler Biyoloji ve Genetik Bölümünde 2012- 2014 yıllarında öğretim üyeliği yapmıştır. 2014 yılında “Moleküler Genetik” doçentliğini almış ve halen hem Marmara Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi Tıbbi Biyoloji ve Genetik Bölümünde, hem de Üsküdar Üniversitesi Mühendislik ve Doğa Bilimleri Fakültesinde Tıbbi Genetik, Farmakogenetik, Beslenme Genetiği, Spor Genetiği ve Gen Dopingi konularında dersler ve seminerler vermektedir.
