Kısa Özgeçmiş

1960 yılında Kahramanmaraş’ta doğdu. 1985 yılında Trakya Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’ni bitirdi. 1988 yılında Bakırköy Ruh ve Sinir Hastalıkları Hastanesi’nde Psikiyatri ihtisasına başladı. Aynı yıl Fırat Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’nde İç Hastalıkları rotasyonu yaptı. 1990 yılında Washington, D.C.’ye giderek National Institute of Health (NIH)’te bilimsel çalışmalar yaptı ve Neurological and Communicative Disorders and Stroke Center (NINCDS)’ da Nöroloji rotasyonunu tamamladı. 1992 yılında New York Medical College’da araştırma görevlisi olarak çalışarak Çocuk Psikiyatrisi rotasyonunu tamamladı. Psikiyatri uzmanlığını 1992 yılında İstanbul Üniversitesi Cerrahpaşa Tıp Fakültesi’nde aldı. Bu tarihten itibaren 2017 yılına kadar burada öğretim üyeliğine devam etmiştir. 1993 yılında İstanbul Üniversitesi Cerrahpaşa Tıp Fakültesi’nde Doçent; 1999 yılında ise Profesör unvanını kazandı. 2001 yılında İstanbul Üniversitesi’nde Biyoistatistik Doktorasını tamamladı.
