Üsküdar Üniversitesi Tasavvuf Araştırmaları Enstitüsünde 2015 yılından itibaren Enstitü Müdürü olarak Kerim Vakfı Yönetim Kurulu Üyesi sıfatıyla görev yapmaktadır. Kariyeri, proje geliştirme ve yönetimi çalışmalarına dayalı olan Elif Erhan, Çevre Mühendisliği alanından gelmektedir. Lisans ve lisansüstü eğitimini Atatürk Üniversitesinde, doktora sonrası çalışmalarını New Castle Upon Tyne Üniversitesinde yapmıştır. Gebze Teknik Üniversitesinde 2003-2015 yılları arasında Çevre Mühendisliği bölümünde öğretim üyesi olarak görev yapan Erhan’ın akademik çalışmaları, katalitik membran prosesler, temiz teknoloji tasarımı ve biyosensör alanlarında yoğunlaşmıştır. Bunun yansıra 2004 yılında ortaklı kurduğu şirketiyle, yenilikçi üretim ve arıtım sistemleri, çevresel izleme teknikleri, Çevre Yönetim Sistemleri ve proje geliştirme alanlarında 2015 yılına kadar mühendislik ve danışmanlık hizmeti üretmiştir.
