Advertising Design and Communication Department is constructed with the aim of training people that are needed in advanced industrial societies. The department which is formed by eligible academic staff, provides a four-year bachelor degree in purpose to answer related sectors’ needs and to educate qualified intellectuals.
During these four years, students are educated as qualified professionals both for the advertising sector and the academic research institutions. The field of advertising design contains marketing, brand management, public relations, talent management, human resources, corporate communication besides advertisement. Thereby, the department’s curriculum is prepared in accordance with the integrated structure and diversity of this field.
Curriculum Structure of the Department
First 2 years of the department’s curriculum are comprised of core courses and parallel with other departments of the faculty. In third and fourth grades, students are canalized to practice-oriented courses according to their field of interest and personal tendencies. The number of elective courses increase in third and fourth grades. Department students will be able to choose the elective courses from the other faculty departments.
Employment Opportunities of the Department
The students graduated from the Advertising Design and Communication Department have the opportunity to be employed in sectors and fields such as advertisement, public relations, marketing, human resources, political communication etc.
