Students from Üsküdar University’s Faculty of Communication, Departments of Cartoon and Animation, and Visual Communication Design visited the Foundation for Children with Leukemia (LÖSEV). During their visit to the LÖSEV Center in Ataşehir, the students took part in various activities at the Orange Ribbon Workshop to support children with leukemia and raise awareness.

Workshop activities during the visit

The visit was organized under the leadership of Assoc. Prof. Cem Tutar, Head of the Department of Cartoon and Animation, and Prof. And Algül, Head of the Department of Visual Communication Design. Throughout the event, students learned about LÖSEV’s mission and participated in several creative workshop sessions.

Orange ribbons prepared for children

LÖSEV representative Şeyda Doğu showed the students a short film introducing the foundation’s activities. Following the screening, participants joined a hands-on workshop where they learned how to make orange ribbons, a meaningful symbol for LÖSEV. The students then created these ribbons themselves to offer moral support and encouragement to children battling leukemia.

Department heads also joined the effort

Prof. And Algül and Assoc. Prof. Cem Tutar also took part in the workshop, helping students craft the ribbons and contributing to the meaningful experience.

The event concluded with a group photo, marking the end of an inspiring day that strengthened the students’ sense of social responsibility and empathy.
