Young historian academics came together

The 'Second National Young Academics' Conference was held in cooperation with Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatyuk National Pedagogical University of Ukraine, Üsküdar University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of History and RINAP. The event, which attracted great attention with international participation, opened up the discussion of current issues of historical science with the theme of "Current Problems of Historical Science and Education in the Works of Young Researchers".

The organizing committee of the conference included Prof. Iryna Zadorozhna and Prof. Ella Bystrytska from Ternopil University, as well as Prof. İlham Miraç, a member of the board of directors of Üsküdar University RINAP.

The opening speeches were delivered by Üsküdar University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Head of the Department of History, Asst. Prof. Erhan Bektaş and Prof. İlham Miraç. Referring to the importance of international academic cooperation, Dr. Erhan Bektaş stated that such events support not only knowledge sharing but also friendships between countries and the academic development of young researchers. At the same time, the projects of Üsküdar University students were also noted.

Students talked about their projects

Merve Nur Othman, within the scope of TÜBİTAK 2209-A project, her advisor Assist. Prepared with Prof. Uygar Aydemir, "Mapping the Routes of British Travelers Coming to the Ottoman Empire in the 16th Century".

Yağız Baştürk introduced the "Digital Mapping of Nakşibendi and Halidiye Lodges" project, which he carried out under the consultancy of Instructor Fatma Aladağ. He also talked about the "Bediüzzaman Said Nursi Digital History of Life" project, which he carried out under the supervision of Prof. İlham Miraç.

Students had the opportunity to share their academic productions on the international platform

Within the scope of the conference, young researchers had the opportunity to share their academic productions on an international platform.

The joint organization of events by countries with rich historical heritage such as Ukraine and Turkey contributed to the strengthening of academic ties and the increase of cultural solidarity. The conference was a meeting point where innovative ideas were put forward in the science and education of history. Participants also exchanged ideas on future cooperation projects and new research topics.
