The importance of talent awareness was explained to young people
Within the scope of the Istanbul Student Assemblies Project carried out under the coordination of the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education and the Youth R&D Project developed by the Strategy Development Directorate, the interview with the theme of "Talent Awareness" was hosted by Üsküdar University. The interview, which was conducted by Advisor to the Rector Halide İncekara, attracted great attention from young people. In his speech, İncekara encouraged young people to discover their talents and make a difference among their peers.
Üsküdar University Advisor to the Rector Halide İncekara, Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education Branch Director Ayşe Nur Menekşe Çalıkçı and Genetics Specialist Büşra Teke, educators and students attended the interview held at Üsküdar University NP Health Campus İbni Sina Auditorium.
Ayşe Nur Menekşe Çalıkçı: "We aim to contribute to the development of our young people"
The opening speeches of the program were made by Ayşe Nur Menekşe Çalıkçı, Branch Director of the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education. Çalıkçı; "I would like to express that I am very excited and happy to be with you in the 'Talent Awareness' themed interview program that we organized in line with the common goals of the Istanbul Student Assemblies Project, which is carried out under the coordination of the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education, and the Youth R&D Project, which was implemented as the Strategy Development Directorate. As two strong and visionary projects, we aim to contribute to the social, cultural and individual development of our young people."
Halide İncekara: "There is a talent waiting to be discovered in each of us"
After the opening speech, Halide İncekara, Advisor to the Rector of the University, emphasized the importance of talent awareness. Emphasizing that young people should make a difference not only with their numerical achievements but also with their own personal characteristics and talents, İncekara said; "We can make the real difference in life by revealing our unique sides among our peers who look like us. There is a talent within each of us waiting to be discovered. We don't expect great miracles, the important thing is that you can turn your intelligence and achievements into your own unique story. It is very valuable to be able to shine your own light on this journey. Remember, if you feel absent somewhere, you have left a real mark there. Trust yourself and make sure that your value is noticed in every environment you are in."
Büşra Teke: "We are a reflection of the bonds we have established with them"
Geneticist Büşra Teke, who gave advice to young people within the scope of the event, touched on the relationship between epigenetics and talent. He-goat; "Are our genes our destiny? Do we have to? This is where our environment comes into play. Our peers, our friends, the people we spend time with... Remember that we are mostly a reflection of the bonds we have with them. Maybe your family hasn't fully discovered your talent until now. However, you are here today, you have come with your teachers. A teacher with this awareness has the power to see and reveal the talent in you."
The seminar, which was organized to raise awareness of the students, ended after the question and answer session and a group photo shoot.
