Aspire Leaders Program Bears Its Fruits

Üsküdar University participated in the Harvard University event, Aspire Leaders of Türkiye, hosted by Özlem Denizmen, a recipient of the Üsküdar University High Human Values Award. Representing the university, the International Student Relations Office attended this collaborative gathering. During the event, discussions were held regarding potential partnerships, and application details for the Aspire Leaders Program were shared with students for the 2024–2025 academic year. Two students from Üsküdar University have successfully gained admission to the Harvard Aspire Institute’s Leadership Program. Applications for the program's second phase remain open until February 19, 2025.

The event, hosted by Özlem Denizmen, welcomed Dr. Gülcan Ayral, Manager of the International Student Relations Office and Director of the Peer Friendship Project, and Selda Yener, International Student Relations Specialist. Students from various disciplines and universities worldwide participated in the program, which focuses on developing personal, managerial, and leadership skills. Several applications were submitted from Üsküdar University students as well.

Two Üsküdar Students Accepted!

Health Management student Şenaynur Çağlar, who serves as a mentor leader in the Peer Friendship Project, and Political Science and International Relations (English) student Hazal Naz Yıldız, a mentor in the same project, have been accepted into the Harvard Aspire Institute’s Leadership Program. The program aims to address inequalities in opportunities, focusing on the condition that at least one parent of the applicant is not a university graduate.

Applications Open Until February 19, 2025

The Aspire Leaders Program provides students with an invaluable experience to enhance their career journeys and enrich their CVs. Students who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for the second phase of the 2024–2025 academic year until February 19, 2025.
